As I was preparing to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, I looked out into the bay and say an enormous cruise ship heading towards the bridge. I moved to a vantage point and waited for the chance to show just how large both the bridge and ship are side by side.

I don’t know that anyone truly understands the height of the Golden Gate Bridge until they’ve walked to it from downtown San Francisco, but seeing the ship does give some idea.
